Services Offered

Here’s a list of what Bill Reddy offers patients.

Over the past 22 years, Bill has expanded his repertoire of professional services to include some lesser-known treatments that include frequency-specific microcurrent, Kinesiotaping, Active Release Therapy, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, moxibustion and infrared therapy.

Acupuncture

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) website describes Acupuncture as a technique in which practitioners insert fine needles into the skin to treat health problems. The needles may be manipulated manually or stimulated with small electrical currents (electroacupuncture).

Gua Sha

Literally translated, Gua Sha means “scrape red” and is a scraping technique that increases microcirculation using a variety of tools including spoons, coins, animal horns and jade. Gua Sha can treat chronic and acute pain as well as respiratory problems and skin conditions.

Cupping

Popularized by Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps and celebrities Gwyneth Paltrow and Lady Gaga, cupping is an ancient technique involving glass, plastic or bamboo cups that apply suction to a body part. The cup may be held in place producing a circular bruise or moved to release the fascia.

Tui Na Massage

Tui Na literally translates to “pinch and pull” and is basically Chinese therapeutic massage used to help promote circulation, improve range of motion and reduce pain.

Infrared Therapy

The “TDP” lamp is a common therapy used to accelerate healing in muscles, tendons and ligaments. Patients frequently describe a pleasant warm sensation associated with healing.

Moxibustion

Moxa, otherwise known as mugwart, is an herb that’s burned near the skin to promote healing. Since it produces plumes of smoke that smell like marijuana, it’s prescribed for home use.
